The Announcements module is a basic module used for displaying news items on your site.  Here's a sample. 

First choose to add an "Announcements" module to the page, pick the pane (area) you want it on the page, if it should be added at the Top or Bottom, how it should be aligned in the pane (left, center or right).  And click Add.

Click to change the title, type in the title and click Save. 

To add new Announcements, simply hover on the down arrow and click, "Add Announcement".  Or simply click the "Add Announcement" link at the bottom of the module. 

Below is the Add an Announcement screen.  Just enter the Title and Descriptions.  If you have an image for the announcement, add it from another website or file.  

Your "read more" link can send your customers to another page on your site, another site, or a file.  

You can track how many times people click on this announcement to read more.  You can log information on those that look at your page.   And choose to "Open Your Link In New Browser Window".  This is the recommended choice whenever you link to another website or a document.  That way your customers do not unknowing lose track of your site. 

Use the Publish and Expire Dates to control how long your announcements are available for viewing. 

The View Order is used to control the order the announcements are viewed in. 

If you click the Update, then your new announcement is added.  If you click Cancel, all your changes are lost.
